TEAR GAS, BULLETS ROCK SHEEMA AS POLICE BLOCK BESIGYE FROM CAMPAIGNING FOR VIRGINIA PLAN

Bullets and tear gas yesterday rocked Sheema district as supporters of FDC received former presidential candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye.

Kizza Besigye was yesterday in Sheema to campaign for Sheema municipality FDC parliamentary flag bearer Virginia Plan Mugyenyi.

Dr. Kizza Besigye who landed in Sheema municipality was however received by teargas and bullets as police and UPDF denied him a chance to hold a rally at Kabwohe playground.

Virginia plan Mugyenyi tried to ask the security agencies to be fair but they could not allow her to end her appeal before teargasing her.

 In the end, Dr. Kizza Besigye and Virginia Plan Mugyenyi were not allowed a chance to access the playground, thus no campaign took place.
