MAN’S LIFELESS BODY FOUND IN RUKUNGIRI WATER STREAM

Police in Rukungiri District are actively investigating the cause of mysterious death of a man in his 50’s whose lifeless body was found lying in a stream.

The deceased is Muhwezi Barigye a resident of Omwibaare village, Bwanda parish, Buhunga Sub County in Rukungiri district.

Joseph Kagumaho the Rusheshe village Chairperson where the body was found says he was informed about the tragic news on Wednesday at around 9:30am by the residents who were going to attend the burial in the neighborhood.

Rukungiri DPC ASP. Edwin Atukunda told www.mknewslink.com that they visited the scene and retrieved the body from the water.

The body was taken to Rwakabengo Health Centre III pending postmortem as investigations take course. The deceased is survived by seven children and a wife

Santrinah Nahwera the Buhunga and Ruhinda Sub Counties District Woman encouraged the public to always report to relevant authorities whenever their family members get lost or take long to return to their homes so that rescue operations can start earlier.
