BUSHENYI: 4 NETTED OVER CATTLE THEFT IN KAKANJU

Police in Bushenyi have in custody four people suspected to be cattle thieves.
The suspects Johnbaptist Mucunguzi , Benson Katuhebwa,Ntireyo Samuel ,and Brighton Gumoshabe are all residents of Rushinya village in Kakanju subcounty.
The Bushenyi District Police Commander Titus Kutosi confirmed the arrest of four and said that they will be delivered before courts of laws to answer charges of animal theft.
Titus Kutosi the District Police Commander Bushenyi district blamed several leaders in the district for hampering wrong doers which has contributed much on the escalating cases of crimes in the district.
DPC Kutosi noted that leaders have for a long time influenced criminality in the district saying that so far they have arrested four and one motorcycle which they were using in executing their criminality.
Criminality rate has been on rise in Kakanju subcounty since the area has a huge number of uneducated youths.
Besides foot and mouth disease that has been ravaging Bushenyi district, the district has on several occasions suffered massive animal theft with the most recent being the arrest of Bushenyi NRM registrar Jonath Musinguzi who stole 18 goats in Kakanju subcounty.
