KABALE RESORT GATEKEEPER DROWNS ON L. BUNYONYI WHILE SWIMMING

Marine police in Kabale have retrieved the body of gatekeeper from Lake Bunyonyi

Elly Maate the spokesperson for Kigezi Regional identified the deceased as Ahimbisibwe Twailu 27 years a resident of Myaliro village parish, Manyogaseka sub county Kasanda district.

It’s alleged that the deceased who had spent only a week working at the gate of Rock Resort which is near L. Bunyonyi was seen undressing, went directly to the water and started swimming before he drowned.

Maate said that the incident happened yesterday 11/01/2022 at around 17:15hrs at Kasambya village Bukora parish Kitumba sub county Kabale district.

Marine police led by AIP Sanyu were notified, visited the scene and together with the local divers, retrieved the body from water.

Police at Kabale CPS including Soco and others, have visited the scene and taken the body to Kabale referral hospital mortuary pending postmortem examination.
