KABALE MORTUARY ATTENDANT HELD FOR SOLICITING BRIBE

Police in Kabale is holding a mortuary attendant attached to Kabale regional referral hospital for soliciting for bribe amounting to three hundred thousand from the relatives of a deceased person
Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson identified the suspect as Gerald Gundu a mortuary attendant who was soliciting for a bribe from the relatives of Turyakira Surura 27, a years self-employed resident of Rukarabo, Rwakaraba cell Northern division Kabale municipality whose body was recovered from a stream at Rwakaraaba.
Maate explains that the body had been discovered by residents who informed Police that visited the scene, processed it, and conveyed the body to Kabale regional referral hospital mortuary for postmortem.
He said Gundu, the mortuary attendant Kabale hospital was arrested for soliciting r three hundred thousand shillings from the relatives of the deceased in order for the body to be released from the mortuary.
Maate says Inquiries are underway, after which the suspect will be arraigned before courts of law to answer charges accordingly.
