UPDATE: BUSHENYI BUSINESSWOMAN ATTACKED WITH ACID

Police in Bushenyi are hunting for two unknown assailants who attacked a 28-year-old business woman and burnt her with liquid suspected to be acid.

The incident happened yesterday at around 2:35pm, according to greater Bushenyi police spokesperson SP Martial Tumusiime who also identified the victim as Bride Julian.

It’s alleged that an unknown female adult assailant who had vailed her face arrived on boda boda which parked in front of the victim’s shop.

SP Tumusiime narrated that the female assailant entered the shop holding a polythene bag that had a container and as soon as she entered, she splashed the contents of the container on the victim who was seated.

The suspect immediately jumped on the waiting boda Boda that sped off direction of Bushenyi -Sheema high way, .

The police PRO says that they recovered a green jug containing a black liquid substance.

However, CCTV cameras near the crime scene could not capture any footage since the network of the nearby camera was not stable.

No arrest has been made but inquiries are ongoing under Bushenyi CRB738/2022.
