ST AGNES GIRLS’ SS BUSHENYI SWAS CLUB CLEANS BUSHENYI TOWN, PLANTS 2 INDEPENDENCE TREES

St. Agnes Girls’ Secondary School an A’ level girls school today 9th Oct.2022 morning planted two trees and clean most part of Bushenyi town as Uganda celebrates independence .
The students led by their two teachers; patroness Joylene Nasasira Wamala and patron Karuhanga Ainomugisha for Schools Water and Sanitation club (SWAS)
They started from the municipal headquarters led by senior health Inspector Julius Byamukama cleaned the municipal headquarters compound, crossed the main road to liberation road, to Rafiki bar, then back to the tree gardens along the high way and planted a tree opposite Western Meridian hotel at the high way.
The energetic young girls crossed back to the municipal compound and planted a tree next the German’s Krihoshagan municipality tree.

German’s municipality entered a friendship 8 years ago and so far municipal officials have visited Germany twice. This is done in partnership with Rukararwe Partnership workshop for Rural Development.
The club patrons Joylene and Karuhanga urged the people of Bushenyi and western Uganda in general to protect the environment, water sources and planting more trees.

The senior health inspector Julius Byamukama hailed St. Agnes SWAS club for coming up with this initiative on the 60th Uganda’s independence and prayed to God to protect the school and students.
He called upon the people of Bushenyi Ishaka municipality to be clean, hygienic and clean their environment to avoid diseases that come with poor sanitation and hygiene.
St. Agnes is located between Bushenyi and Ishaka towns after St. Kagwa trading Centre.
