TWO ARRESTED IN KISORO FOR MUTILATING,KILLING BABY

Police in Kisoro district is holding two suspects who allegedly stabbed a five weeks old baby to
death and buried it in a garden.

The suspects are identified as Allen Nyirabyiringiro (a mother to the deceased and the
grandmother identified as Roy Muhawenimana both residents of Rurangara cell in mupaka town
council.

Residents narrate that upon digging, they discovered the torso of a small baby without the
head and the arms who immediately reported to the area chairman.

Rurangara village LC1 Chairperson Niyonegamiye John Bosco confirmed the development saying he
managed to apprehend the two suspects as they tried to cross the border in the Democratic Republic of
Congo.

Upon further interrogation, the mother of the deceased baby, Nyirabyiringiro a Primary six school drop
out of Gitovu Primary School confessed that she had delivered a baby a few weeks back.

She further admitted that the man who impregnated her did not want anything to do with the baby and
she was unable to follow him up because, she knew nothing about him.
However , a search for the remaining body parts is still ongoing.
