POLICE WARNS PUBLIC ON ELECTION VILONCE

Police in kibaale district has warned National Resistance Movement supporters to desist from engaging themselves in violence.
Today NRM is conducting elections in the new districts of Kagadi, Kakumiro,and Rubanda as they look for flag bearers on the posts of district chairperson and woman member of parliament.
District police commander Greater Kibaale district Bosco Arop said there are some people who are expected to steer violence in the region basing on sectarian sentiments that may lead to insecurity in the area.
Mr. Bosco advised residents to avoid whoever tries to plant sectarian sentiments in the as it is meant to divide them.
There are five candidates on both woman parliamentary seat and district chairperson contesting.
Steven Byaruhanga Mfashingabo, Ndibwamibyosia, Kasaija William Mugenyi, Ssentogo John Baptist and Tumwebaze Richard want NRM flag for Kibaale district chairperson while Jenifer Mbabazi, Nyanjura Pencience, Happy Ganyira, Anakuya Mary Goret, Proscovia Nabamutura
