BUHWEJU POLICE OFFICER ARRESTED FOR SHOOTING THREE CIVILIANS

Police in Buhweju have arrested one of their own in connection to shooting three innocent civilians.
The suspect has been identified by police as No.30204 CPL Mutabaruki Crescent 54-year-old, a police Officer attached to Kiisa Police Post as OC Post and resident of Katefunza ‘B’ Village, Kabegaramire Parish, Nyakishana S/C in Buhweju District.
According to greater Bushenyi police PRO Martial Tumusiime, the suspect went into a scuffle with Mucunguzi Pauson, Kebirungi Olivias, and Nuwagaba Edson while at a bar which prompted him to discharge two bullets.
Tumusiime told our reporter that in the process Mucunguzi’s hand was shattered by the bullet, Kebirungi Olivias was injured on the thigh, and Nuwagaba Edson was allegedly shot in the arm.
He revealed that the three were rushed to Ishaka Adventist Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect and his gun at Buhweju central police station as inquiries continue.
