As schools continue jubilating across the country for the results from last year’s primary leaving examinations (PLE), the administration at Bweranyangi Junior school in Bushenyi, has gone to cloud nine saying their school was made only- for the first division.
When www.mknewslink.com visited there to establish the school’s performance in the 2024 just released examinations by UNEB, Moses Baluku, the deputy head teacher in the office of academics was found in a celebratory mode, and could not hold back his happiness and excitement.
Baluku told our reporters that the school was surely not made for any other grading but only the first and if things to do not move their way, then second grade can be their worst.
The deputy head teacher said: “our pupils are always passing in division one and at worst, division two. So, we are always for division one. As you know, it is not easy for us to have our pupils passing in the third grade or above that. We have maintained and done this for years.”
“In fact, we are going to continue working so hard so that we continue shining in the same manner. And actually, we just thank God for everything, that even with strict supervision of the exams by the Uganda national examinations board (UNEB), we still performed excellently,” he added.
Out of the 183 pupils registered at Bweranyangi Junior school for the exams, 113 passed in the first division and just 70 came out in the second division.
Kansiime Rubatsika was their best pupil and scored five (5) aggregates while nine other pupils followed with six (6) aggregates.
Baluku however noted that the school did not have a pupil scoring four (4) aggregates because they did not balance the subjects well.
