The Forum for Democratic Change activist Rtd.Col.Dr.Kizza Besigye and his co-suspects are still surrounded by heavily armed police at Rukungiri magisterial area premises six hours after securing court bail.
Besigye whom court released on bail at around 10:00Am failed to agree with police who wanted to take him back to Kampala but he insisted that he wanted to go to his Rwakabengo up-country home in Rukungiri municipality to rest.
He wanted also to match with a procession of his supporters through streets of Rukungiri town but still the security operatives objected the move.
Darious Tweyambe who was today arrested at Rukungiri court
Mean while another FDC activist; Darious Tweyambe was arrested by and dragged into a police van by the police men when he had come to court to meet Besigye and his colleagues.
Tweyambe; a renowned FDC activist and in-law to Ingrid Turinawe is among hundreds of people who were in 2001 arrested and charged with treason.
A number of his co-suspects were given amnesty and released but Tweyambe preferred to stand court trial until he was later acquitted of all the charges and released unconditionally.
There is still tension in Rukungiri as Besigye and his supporters disagreed with police directives.
