President Yoweri Museveni never authorized Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba to contest for presidency in 2026 but this time around he has Okayed his candidature for 2031.
This was revealed today by Daudi Kabanda a senior official from PLU while launching endorsement signatures for Gen. Kainerugaba at Kizinda playground in Kizinda town council Bushenyi district.
As a chief guest at Kizinda, Kabanda assured Ugandans that it’s a mandatory that Gen. Kainerugaba runs for presidency in 2031.
He added that in 2026, Mawanda and him were the initiators of Gen. Kainerugaba’s presidency but he has now personally sent them to ensure they mobilize for 2031 votes.
Michael Mawanda Maranga, the PLU director for mobilization said that the first ever public birthday celebration was conducted in Kizinda Bushenyi district therefore Kizinda play ground has a big bearing on Gen. Kainerugaba’s political career.
