YOU ARE CAMPAIGNING ILLEGALLY—IBANDA NRM CHAIRMAN WARNS ASPIRANTS

IN IBANDA—
NRM prospective aspirants for Member of Parliament, mayor and division chairpersons in Ibanda Municipality held a meeting over the weekend to ensure discipline in the forth coming party elections.
This meeting which sat Saturday at the party offices , was chaired by the Ibanda district NRM chairperson Mr. Andrew Musebeni Musiime who urged the aspirants to buy the constitution of republic of Uganda, revise the parliament and local government act of 2005 in order to
guide them.
The meeting came up after the illegal campaigns which are going around the municipality soliciting votes and support even though National electoral commission has not set the dates for elections.
Mr. Musiime said that some of the candidates have also displayed their posters around the municipality which may cause disqualification from the race. Some of the people who have displayed their posters include Mr. Tarsis Rwaburindoore, Mr. Mwine Innocent Bakamuhara,Mr.
Ssajakambwe Fred Spanner and Mr. Deus Rogers Mulinde among others.
According to the chairman, he asked the DISO to enforce the removal of posters wherever they are in the municipality until the road map is released.
It is said that some of the aspirants have crossed from other political parties and joined NRM party.
The administrator of NRM in Ibanda district Mr. Myers Ssesanga asked the intending aspirants not to use the party name while campaigning before the party clears them.
Among the prospective MPs that attended the meeting included Mr. Innocent Mwine Bakamuhara,Ms. Tuheise Leticia,Mr. Kakwene Bernard, Mr.John Betunguura, Mr. Deus Rogers Mulinde and Mr. Ssajakambwe Fred Spanner.
