CRESTED CRANES TO BEAT RWANDA TO WIN CHAMPIONSHIP
CECAFA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP 2018
Rwanda vs Uganda -5:15pm
Stade Kigali, Nyamirambo
Crested Cranes will return to action on Wednesday with hopes of bouncing back from the 4-1 loss to Tanzania.
Faridah Bulega’s charges will face hosts Rwanda in a tricky fixture for either side with Rwanda also coming into this game on the back of a 3-0 loss to Ethiopia.
Uganda is still top of the table with six points and victory against Rwanda will give Uganda pole position to lift the championship.
Despite the heavy loss on Monday, Bulega is confident her team has the ability to bounce back.
” The morale is still high in the camp despite the loss to Tanzania. The girls are still committed and we are aware of what is at stake in the game against Rwanda.” She told AidenGraw.
Victory will take Uganda to nine points and that would only leave Ethiopia as the only team with a chance to deny Uganda the title.
Defending champions Tanzania have 4 points with one game to play while Kenya and Ethiopia have 1 and 3 points respectively from two games.
This year’s tournament is played in a round robin format with the team with most points at the end winning the championship.
