AFRICAN UNION SUSPENDS SUDAN

In Sudan
The republic of Sudan has been thrown out of the African Union, the continental body in which all 55 African Countries are united.
This comes after the African Union peace and Security Council Sitting on Thursday in Addis Ababa came out with stern decisions.
The council announced that it was suspending Sudan from participating in all African Union activities until the establishment of the civilian-led Transition Authority.
The suspension, the council said, takes immediate effect; adding that returning to civilian rule was the only way to allow Sudan to exit from the current crisis.
Sudan is yet to see calm ever since its leader Al Omar Bashir was ousted.
Dozens of protesters have reportedly been shot dead by the Military trying to stop them.
The Sudan’s suspension today follows after the stern criticism of the apparent inaction of the continental body ever since the crisis broke out in Sudan.
