The Principal, National Teachers’ College Kabale Madam Komunda Annet has urged the government of Uganda to construct new accommodation facilities for students and staff to to facilitate the improvement of teaching and learning environment at the institution
While speaking on Tuesday 27th December 2022 at the opening of a two-day professional’s camp that was held at National Teachers College – NTC, that was organized by international community of Banyakigezi (ICOB) Uganda in partnership with Kigezi Oweitu Foundation in a bid to give back to the community where people were given free services, Principla Komunda said that the National Teachers’ College Kabale NTC needs connection to solar lighting in all college facilities due to unstable power and the high cost of electricity,
She said that NTC receives a capitation grant of one thousand eight hundred shillings (1800/=) only per student per day for all services offered at the college of the grant was remitted at 35%
She thanked His Excellency the President of Uganda Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for honouring the pledge of Ugx 200 million for the college BUS and accepting to continue spearheading this country to greater heights
The International Community Of Banyakigezi ( ICOB)President Sandra Ndyomugyenyi trashed disputed reports that The ICOB opposes the government saying that these are rumors that should be treated with contempt
She revealed that ICOB is nonpartisan and encouraged everyone from Kigezi to join. She revealed that the first ICOB member is the president of Uganda who joined in 2009 when it was launched after revealing that he hails from Nyarushanje sub county in Rukungiri district.
Mugabirwe asked Banyakigezi not to politicize ICOB but focus on the development of the sub-region.
Sandra Ndyomugyenyi the Presidential legal advisor who is also the President of Kigezi Oweitu/Kigezi our mother land is a camp aimed at giving back to community saying that there a number of Banyakigezi who are successful in their professions but detached from home
The minister of state for Trade, Industrial and Cooperatives Hon David Bahati who doubles as the member of parliament for Ndorwa West represented the Chief Guest whop was the former Prime minister Hon. Amama Mbabazi and Ruhakana Rugunda mentioned there are rules that describe Bakiga and first of all is its people, intelligence, faithfulness, hardwork and telling the truth.
He went on assuring the public that the president of Uganda His. Excellence Y.K. Museveni is ready to contest again in the coming elections of 2026.
