Bushenyi district longest serving engineer for over 30 years Barnabas Mbonimpa was this week interdicted following the ongoing technical audit that traced irregularities.
According to Bushenyi District chairman Prosper Twebaze, the interdiction of Eng. Mbonimpa came as a result of
irregularities in Karinju tourism road, Kabushaho seed school play ground, Kanyamurera seed school and Kibazi health centre III bathroom.
He noted that he can’t continue working with thieves like Eng. Mbonimpa
He also went ahead to say his kisanja is the one totally without any corruption.
Eng. Mbonimpa took over as the engineer of greater Bushenyi around 1997 and has since been strong. He is currently at the rank of assistant commissioner
Minister of Local Government, Balaam Barugahara will visit Bushenyi district on Friday 6.11.2026 on his continuous fight of corruption out of districts and Uganda in general.
