BUSHENYI: 7 ARRESTED FROM RWENTUHA TC IN POSSESSION TOXIC DRUGS, PANGAS

7 people have been arrested in Rwentuha town council Bushenyi district in possession of pangas, opium, marijuana and other narcotics.
The seven were arrested in an operation following number of leaflets that have been thrown with in the district of Bushenyi.
This week, unknown people started distributing threatening leaflets to different areas in the district threatening residents of how they are invading the district during this weekend with an aim of getting 27 heads.
According to Jane Muhindo, the Bushenyi Resident District Commissioner, security teams have mounted joint operations across the district, and arrested 30 people.
She however clarified that 7 of the criminals were arrested in Rwentuha town council in possession of pangas, opium, marijuana and other narcotics while the rest were found in breach of curfew, others drunk as well as violating SOPs that were put in place to curb further spread of corona virus.
The RDC cautioned the public to be more vigilant in these times when panga wielding assailants are threatening to attack the district saying that as security they have intensified patrol operations 24/7 to crack down the goons.
