In Bushenyi—-
Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party leaders in Bushenyi district have spit fire after the Presidential candidate was arrested.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com reporter, at the FDC party offices in Bushenyi town, Guma Gumisiriza the FDC district chairman said that Patrick Oboi Amuriat also known as POA was arrested in a rudely at the boarder of Bushenyi and Rubirizi districts.
According to Guma, POA was arrested by police in connection to the knocking down of SP John Rutangira the Mbarara DPC.
Guma noted that this is a sign of cowardness by the government adding that if this continues, they will resort to plan B as their former party president Kiiza Besigye had earlier planned.
The FDC party Bushenyi secretary General Christine Ninsiima Bekunika criticised the police for failing to follow the program they had agreed upon yesterday as their candidate campaigns in Bushenyi district.
Ninsiima said that police would have told them yesterday that Amuriat has charges in Mbarara.
She added that Museveni and his regime know that if the government is to change, it’s Bushenyi district that decides noting that it is for this reason that they cannot allow POA to campaign in Bushenyi
Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region Police spokesperson confirmed to www.mknewslink.com that Amuriat is at Mbarara police station.
He also revealed that they are still in a meeting after which they will release a statement on the arrest of Amuriat early in the morning.
