BUSHENYI POLICE CANCELS BUSHENYI MUNICIPAL TREASURER’S BOND AFTER ANOTHER BIG CASE EMERGES

Bushenyi Police detectives have revealed that Beyendeza’s rights have not been sat on by holding him beyond 48 hours but he got bond yesterday morning though it was later cancelled in the afternoon after police searched his office and charged him with another case they are currently investigating.
The police detective who never wanted to be named because he is not allowed to speak for greater Bushenyi police told www.mknewslink.co managing editor that after searching Beyendeza’s office, they found out that he committed another big case which should be investigated and concluded.
Beyendeza was arrested on 12th May 2020 and he has finished 5 days in police cells today 17th May 2020. He is likely to spend more days in the cells since both cases against him are capital in nature according to the detective.
Beyendeza was last month interdicted together with other two senior officers Deus Nuwagaba Baingana the engineer, Rorbeto Nuwagira the procurement officer on the orders of the Local government minister Raphael Magyezi after they were implicated in the misuse of municipal funds.
Beyendeza, according to crediable source from the police is accused of forging signatures of different town clerks, heads of department since 2014 and what is so far confirmed is 91 million shiilings he withdrew from bank after forging siugnature of the former Town clerk Edward Kiwanuka.
Sources told www.mknewslink.com that in the new cases, he forged a signature of head of Community Development department Jack Nalongo and when Jack fumed after finding out that Beyendeza had stolen money from her account, the then town clerk Paul Batanda forced Beyendeza to refund the money and proposed Beyendeza’s Interdiction but was not effected in the end.
