Bushenyi principal Human resource officer Polline Nakayenga was yesterday given bond, according to a police source
Ms. Polline Nakayenga was on Friday arrested on charges of embezzlement and corruption done to Bushenyi pensioners.
In a meeting chaired by the LC5 chairperson Prosper Twebaze, the 2024-2025 pensioners complained that for close to two years they have failed to be paid their gratuity benefits.
According to Bushenyi RDC Emmy Ngabirano, Nakayenga was arrested on allegations of corruption and embezzlement as well as refusing to take pensioners’ files to Kampala after they failed to pay a bribe.
Speaking to www.mknewlink.com, Aggrey Musigire, the chairperson of Bushenyi district 2024-2025 pension cluster said for over two years efforts to be paid their gratuity benefits deemed futile as many would be told that their files were missing in the human resource officer, while others were asked to pay some amounts of money.
Nakayenga is a historical in Bushenyi district and she started her work with Johnson Bitarabeho and Kiberu Nsubuga. Allegations of corruption have surrounded her career.
She was detained and interdicted for 7years and thereafter, she was freed and started work again and she was due to retired when this incident happened.
