Bushenyi district woman MP aspirant on the independent ticket has strongly pledged to make Bushenyi great again as it used to be during the time of late Yowasi Makaru when it was referred to as a model district.
Carol Muhereza said this today morning Aug. 20, 2025 at premier motel during a press conference she addressed together with some of her supporters.
She noted that her first issue to deal with when she take power is corruption amongst Bushenyi local government staff especially in works department. She said this has lowered the rank of the district at the national level.
She also pledged to put in place quality education in all Bushenyi district institutions, primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
Carol Namara promised to improve household incomes as well as increasing productivity in all Bushenyi district homes.
She still promised to extend electricity to rural areas of Bushenyi like Bitooma town council, Ruhumuro sub-county, Greater Kyabugimbi among other areas.
She pledged to introduce round table discussions [Eishazi] to discuss pertinent issues of the people of Bushenyi district aimed at fostering unity and development of residents of Bushenyi district.
Carol Muhereza has been working with western Ankole civil society forum, an NGO operating in Greater Bushenyi districts and BFM Radio.
She holds a BA degree in development studies and a diploma in secondary education from Mbarara University and Kyambogo University respectively.
She is contesting against the incumbent woman MP Annet Katusiime Mugisha and independent aspirant, Viany Kemigisha Nyamunyonyi
