Ambassador Moses Sebunya asked students to value and respects cultures of their fellows in order to foster social development.
Moses said while presiding over cultural gala competitions at the International national University of East Africa found in Kabalagala a Kampala suburb.
He also emphasized that it’s paramount for each group of people to cherish their cultures adding that it helps in restoring and maintaining good morals.
The competitions were won by the Ugandan students followed Burundi and Rwanda respectively.
The competition included showcasing cultural wears and dances among others.
According to Ms Barlow Alice the minister of gender and culture in the university, other countries that participated include; Nigeria, South Sudan, Tanzania, DRC, India among others.
The function was also attended by other neighboring universities and the neighboring community.
The institution is owned by Ali Hassan a tycoon in kampala and East Africa at large.
