COL. AMANYA MUSHEGA WARNS OFFICERS OF UPDF EXTRA TO SWALLOW PRIDE

The former powerful minister of education and east African community secretary general Col. Amanya Mushega has revealed that people with ranks UPDF, prison, Police should not take themselves as superiors over other people because ranks are normal.
Col. Amanya Mushega said this yesterday while eulogizing his close friend and neighbor Yokana Bwiso who died at the age of 101.
Mushega revealed that the late Bwisho fought in the Second World War and was given ranks but he was never proud.
Mushega noted that once officers are given ranks, they mistreat people, are proud but Mzee Bwisho was down to earth.
Amanya Mushega also warned MCs to always introduce all the officials despite their political parties. He added that during the 1981-86 bush war, obote’s government officials could not respect and introduce anyone from UPM but now NRM has been in power for 36years
Mushega is nolonger active in politics but he refers to himself as retired officer and minister who is doing farming in Bushenyi and other districts.
