FDC CANDIDATE WINS BSU GUILD RACE

Ankunda Best Arnold, a second year student of Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Community Development has been declared winner of Bishop Stuart University Guild race after beating nine other contestants.
Ankunda from the faculty of Agriculture becomes the institution’s 19th guild president following Saturday polls that saw many students turn up to vote.
Ankunda garnered 458 votes, in the online voting exercise that ended Saturday evening with him being declared winner by Paul Aryamanya Junior the chairperson electoral commission. His closest contender Emmanuel Nuwasiima, managed to pocket 181 votes.
The other contestants were Fortunate Atwijukire of JEMA who got 175 votes, Akoragye Seth with 140votes, Sunday Mukama of the National Unity Platform (NUP) who clinched 116 votes.
Others are Frank Ariho who got 89 votes, Isaac Ayesiga mukama who scored 58 votes, Brian Ainomugisha who got 44 votes and Nickson Muganga who got 36 votes.
