The fourth candidate for head of laity for West Ankole diocese has declared intentions few days to the elections.
Mr. Arthur Babu Muguzi from Buhweju district declared his intention last evening and spoke to www.mknewslink.com managing editor that he will participate in the Saturday 12th March 2022 head of laity elections at the diocesan headquarters in Bweranyangi.
He revealed that he is a neutral candidate compared to other candidates who are leaning to certain aspects which don’t build West Ankole diocese.
He noted that he has been a member of the synod for 16 years and chairman board of finance for the diocese for 10 years therefore he knows all the antiques to go with the church and West Ankole diocese.
Asked why he came on the last hour, Babu revealed that the other candidates arenot fit enough to handle West Ankole diocese.
Mr. Babu Muguzi is a chartered accountant and is currently working with National Council for Higher Education in Kampala.
He said that his candidature means a lot for Buhweju since he is the first ever head of laity ship candidate from the district.
The other candidates in the race are two from Igara; Willis Bashaasha, Pison Mugizi and Wilfred Katobe from Sheema
