GEN. TUMUKUNDE DENIED BAIL

Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde has been been denied bail in High Court today 14th April 2020.
A Civilian Court today ruled that an application for bail shall be re-entertained when the COVID19 situation (Lockdown) in Uganda changes & upon providing substantial sureties who are senior military officers.
Gen. Tumukunde was arrested from his home in Kololo on March 12th 2020 by a joint security team led by CMI, a day after President Museveni held a security meeting with top security chiefs at State House Entebbe.
He was first taken to CID headquarters Kibuli and later transferred to Kireka where he spent the night.
Gen Tumukunde, a former security minister who is also a presidential hopeful is being charged with treason.
