GOV’T VEHICLE KNOCKS ONE DEAD IN RUBANDA

Police in Rubanda district are investigating the cause of an accident  which left one person dead along Kabale -Kisoro road in Rubanda district.

The accident involved a motor vehicle registration no. UG 0237D TATA COSTER white in colour being driven by one Ntale Timothy m/a 46yrs, resident of Kazo Angola, Kawempe division in Kampala and motorcycle reg no. UEO 121I.

The Kigezi Regional police Spokesperson Elly Maate indentfied deceased as Kelvin Aruho 30years, a resident of Kigimbi village, Rurehe sub-county in Mitooma district who died on spot.

Maate narrated that the accident occurred yesterday 14/09/2021 at around 07:10hrs at Nyarurambi ward, Rubanda town council along Kabale Kisoro road in Rubanda district.

Maate said that the body was taken to Kabale referral hospital for post mortem. Motorcycle parked at the station, PF31 issued to the driver pending inspection by IOV.

Scene was visited by No.67837 PC Kauli Bohanon and inquiries to the cause of the accident are on going.
