GREATER BUSHENYI POLICE IN RUNNING BATTLES WITH TAXI DRIVERS TO ENFORCE PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE ON TRANSPORT

Greater Bushenyi police are in running battles with bodaboda cyclists, taxi drivers and passengers in a bid to enforce presidential directive on transport following outbreak of Corona virus.
According to the greater Bushenyi police PRO SP Martial Tumusiime ,they have deployed traffic officers plus other police officers in uniform to ensure that the presidential directive which was announced last evening is respected .
Tumusiime added that this applies to all five districts of Greater Bushenyi ;Bushenyi, Sheema, Rubirizi, Buhweju and Mitooma.
“In the morning some of the drivers who were found with extra passengers claimed that they were not aware of the directive,” Tumusiime noted.
The President during the 5th address on Corona Virus banned taxi drivers while private Vehicles are allowed to carry only three people.
