GUN THIEVES GREATLY THREATEN BUSHENYI AS THREE GUN ATTACKS REGISTERED IN TWO WEEKS.

Fear continues to engulf residents in Bushenyi due increased gun attacks and robbery and have raised their voices against the vice thus calling upon authorities to provide an answer as soon as possible.
This was after another gun attack was registered in Omuruhita, ruharo ward Bushenyi Ishaka municipality and a shopkeeper shot.
According to SP Martial Tumusiime, the spokes person greater Bushenyi region police, Innocent Ngabirano 35 was attacked the night of 22nd May 2018 at his shop in Omuruhita T/C, Ruharo ward, Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality and shot in the arm.
Martial, told mknewslink.com that, it’s not clear on what was stolen from innocent and said that investigations into the matter are still going on. He added that the suspects are still on a run.
This is about third attack of this kind in the district in a period of just two weeks, notable being recent attack on Tides Inn along Kasese- Mbarara road in which about ug shs 3M cash was robbed.
However, an operation in which security guards’ guns are checked to a measure to find out which guns are used in crime has kicked off today 23rd May 2018.
The operation was led the District Police Commander Bushenyi and so far no gun has been confirmed to being used by the thugs.
Martial thus asked residents to remain calm saying that the police is doing its work.
