INTERDICTION OF ENG. BAINGANA,TREASURER: TOWN CLERK SAYS HE IS STILL CONSULTING

The town clerk for Bushenyi- Ishaka municipality Mr. Edward Kiwanuka has failed to implement the council resolution of interdicting three staff members who include the municipal engineer, Mr. Deus Baingana, the municipal treasurer, Mr. Jackson Muhwezi and the municipal Procurement officer Mr. Roberto, following the court petition by the trio against the resolution
The council chaired by Milton Kasibure, on 7th march 2018 voted to interdict the three officers on grounds of diverting Ug.sh.336m road funds to their personal dealings.
The council resolved that since the trio were all involved in the process, they should all be interdicted.
Mr. kiwanuka confirmed this an exclusive interview managing editor www.mknewslink.com at Savana Hotel In Ishaka town.
He thus revealed that he is consulting the stakeholders and government agencies on how to implement the resolution.
He also said that he is consulting the solicitor general on the issue of declaring the resolution as null and void as demanded by the accussed.
The council is expected to sit tomorrow April 13, 2018 and this issue will be discussed about among others.
Mr. kiwnuka also revealed that they are waiting for a report from the inspector general of government which is expected very soon to build more basis ave the interdition done openly and clearly .
