A number primary schools in Kabale Municipality are jubilating and celebrating their impressive performances in the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) released on Thursday, January 23, 2025 after many of their pupils coming up with top grades.
Head teachers from various schools attribute the success to a combination of hard work, strong staff cooperation with students the parents and a commitment to spiritual and moral growth.
The director of Kabale Universal Nursery and Primary School Drake Kisheija proudly and happily revealed that out of his 68 pupils who sat for the examinationss, 59 achieved first grade and only a mere 9 got the second grade.
Kisheija credited this outstanding performance to teamwork between staff and pupils, the students’ discipline, and the God-fearing nature of both staff at school and the pupils.
Similarly, Kabale Junior School which had 82 pupils registering to sit for the exams had 61 pupils earning first grade and 21 attaining the second.
The school’s director Sunday John Bosco, attributed the school’s success to the relentless hard work of both students and staff, and a commitment to prayer.
At God’s Favor Nursery and Primary School, 39 pupils sat for the examinations and out of these, 20 scored first grade, and 19 earned second grade.
Saturday Collins Kaheesi, the school’s director highlighted the role of his hardworking staff and students, and a strong cooperation between parents and the administration as the major reason for the successful reults.
Hornby High School Junior is other school in the municipality which reported encouraging results. Out of their 31 pupils who sat the examinations, 6 students scored first grade, 17 in the second grade, 7 in the 3rd and only one came out with a 4th grade.
The school head teacher Goffrey Bainomugisha expressed gratitude to the teachers, parents, and his pupilss for their dedication in addition to the leadership of the church under the stewardship of Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi.
At Kabale Primary School, 137 pupils sat for the examinations. 22 pupils scored first grade, 107 second grade, 8 came in the third grade. Only one pupil was absent for the examinations.
Child Africa Junior School also reported positive outcomes, with 47 pupils sitting for the PLE and 27 earning division one and all the remaining 20 achieving division two.
