KABAROLE YOUTH LEADERS RECEIVE 53 HEIFERS, RDC WARNS AGAINST SELLING THEM OFF

The Kabarole district NRM youth leaders were given 53 heifers under the Operation Wealth Creation Program.
This is the second time the same group benefiting from the same project.
President Museveni pledged to offer heifers to the youth leaders as a way of empowering them economically to fight poverty and improve on livelihood.
Handing over the cows to the jovial youth leaders, RDC Steven Asiimwe strongly warned them against selling them off that instead they should use them to diversify their income.
The RDC rejected the maize seeds the supplier had brought after evaluation indicated that out of 17tonnes, they had brought only 13, warning that they will be arrested for inconveniencing the leaders.
The Chief Administrative Officer Kabarole Ms Sanyu Phionah asked the technical staff at sub county level to monitor the performance of these cows and to the beneficiaries to ensure they multiply to benefit other members of society.
The vice chairperson Ms Margaret Kihiika told the beneficiaries that this was entandikwa for youth to lift them from nowhere to another level to fight poverty, cautioning them not to sell them off.
