KIRUHURA COVID 19 SUSPECTED DEATH TURNS OUT NEGATIVE

Authorities in Kiruhura district have confirmed that a person who succumbed to corona virus like symptoms on Saturday was negative.
The deceased who was under isolation is a resident of Bwashamure, Kenshunga sub county, Kiruhura district.
The deceased was admitted on Monday July 27 2020 after presenting COVID 19 like symptoms that included body weakness, sore throat and headache.
According to Ivan Kamya the Kiruhura District Health officer, the deceased was taken in for management very ill and samples were picked from him but unfortunately, he died on Saturday before his results which turned out negative could be released on 2nd August 2020.
The deceased was buried on Saturday by the National COVID 19 force in charge of burials amidst tight security.
King Martin Kyanyawanga the chairperson LC 3 Kenshunga sub county said that the deceased was first taken to witch doctor but when his conditions deteriorated, they decided to report to the task force who evacuated him to Rushere community hospital where he eventually died.
