In a bid to reduce on road accidents, KIU Western campus students have repainted Zebra crossing near the University teaching hospital.
The students in conjunction with their deputy vice chancellor; Prof.Patrick Kyamanywa and other senior staff woke up early today and started repainting the zebra crossing.
The zebra crossing is used by people who branch off to Kampala International University and the University teaching hospital. Being a busy junction, a number of road accidents occur there regularly.
Juliet Ampaire Campus administrator at KIU western campus says now people will start crossing the road comfortably thus urging drivers to respect the Zebra crossing if the accidents are to be reduced.
Ampaire says the University decided to repaint the zebra crossing as a corporate social responsibility it always gives to the public.
