Masindi municipal mayor, Businge Joab, has reshuffled his executive members and dropped the secretary finance planning and administration NyangomaFatuma after nine months since they assumed office.
Businge replaced NyangomaFatuma the councilor representing Bigando ward with Hon. Amos Bandoho the councilor representing Isimba ward as the secretary finance Planning and Administration.
Businge retained Byenkaya Zaina as the deputy mayor, Isingoma Ndabi Petre the councilor Kikwanana ward as secretary for works and Technical services and Asiimwe Solomon the councilor Kisita ward as the Secretary for health and the community based services.
He noted that to make this reshuffle he was led by circumstances and the prevailing situation adding that it may sound usual but he was forced by the situation
He added that Nyangoma has not beenbehaving exemplary noting that she has been abusing the technical people, abusing people along the way and the politicians.
He also said that what angered him is when they went to Gulu up to Kitghum for a study tour but Nyangoma mobilized other councilors to stop on the away and yet they had already used public money.
Businge also accused Nyangomaof demobilizing the public not to attend meetings organized by the municipal authorities about tax collection among others.
Businge Joab is a Forum for Democratic Change member and had appointed Nyangoma Fatuma who is also a member of FDC as secretary for Finance Planning and Administration.
Asiimwe Patrick, the assistant Town clerk Masindi municipality,said that what the mayor did is in line with the exercise of his constitutional powers as the political head of the municipality adding that as a political manager it is within his means to make an assessment of the performance of the executive since the executive committee is the policy organ of the council.
When reached Nyangoma Fatuma for a comment she said that she is not regretting at all but said she will reveal muc during her press conference which she convene soonest.
