The Resident District Commissioner Bushenyi district, Peter Mugisha has warned the Bushenyi district public accounts committee chairman Emmanuel Karasi to stop with immediate effect arresting municipal, district and town council staff because it’s not his work.
RDC said this yesterday in an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com reporter in his office at Bushenyi district headquarters.
RDC further said that incase Karasi finds a staff member deserving to be arrested, he should write to the Chief Administrative Officer and CAO writes to police telling them to carry out the arrest but not Karasi doing it imself.
Of recent Karasi has arrested a big number of staff from district and Bushenyi-Ishaka municipal council which is not his work according to the RDC.
The sub-county chief for Bitooma, Hillary Twebaze, Municipal Treasurer Jackson Muhwezi and his junior staff were recently arrested on orders of PAC Chairman Mr. Karasi but were later released.
This therefore has forced the RDC Bushenyi district to come out with a directive to Karasi to stop arresting civil servants without mandate to do so.
