NTUNAMO DHO TO RESIGN OVER HARSH WORKING CONDITIONS

The Ntungamo District health officer Dr. Richard Bakamuturaki has threatened to resign over unfriendly working conditions.
In a copy of leave of absence letter dated August 12, 2017 addressed to Chief Administrative officer Kweyamba Ruhemba,Dr. Bakamuturaki cited some anonymous challenges he faces while executing his duties and informing the office of the CAO to step down effect from Monday 14th August 2017.
According to sources Dr.Bakamuturaki had exchanged biter words with Ruhemba over the health department vehicle after suspending it’s driver Godfery Tumusiime over dress code recently.
This prompted him to write resignation letter where by fellow workers heard him saying that since the new CAO came into the district, the employers have been working under pressure and this will not be tolerated.
So far 6 employers been suspended over dress code and these include; Godfery Tumusiime; a driver in health department, Alex Ashaba; driver in production, Robert Muhwezi; a biostatician, Johnson Ahabwe; statician, Rogers Kiziito; chain assistant and Felix Barugahare.
