NTUNGAMO DISTRICT CAO VOWS TO DEAL WITH CIVIL SERVANTS OVER ABSENTEEISM

Ntungamo district Chief Administrative Officer Hanny Turyahebwa has cautioned civil servants in the area against the habit of absenteeism.
Turyahebwa noted that absenteeism has greatly affected service delivery and cripple’s government programs.
The CAO was speaking during the district technical planning committee held in the district council hall attended by departmental heads, sub county chiefs, town clerks among others.
He further revealed that the leadership of the district will not hesitate to take action against the errant officers since they are paid money and must deliver as per their assignments.
Dr. Richard Bakamuturaki, the Ntungamo district health officer revealed that the district is working on the process of recruiting more health workers to ensure that the challenge of understaffing in health facilities is addressed.
He also called on the civil servants and the general public to continue observing the standard operating procedures in line with COVID-19 prevention.
Dinah Tumwebaze the head of natural resources department revealed that they are working towards the restoration of depleted ecosystems to avert the effects of climate change.
