The Sacred heart Ntungamo catholic parish deputy parish priest Rev. Fr Acleo Kafero has asked the youth to be guided by the Uganda Martyrs in exhibiting the love to others; to the communities they come from and to the Christ Jesus as the death of the martyrs truly represent the real love that one can have for a friend.

Speaking during the martyrs day celebration at Ntungamo High school in Ntungamo town, he said that commemoration of the martyrs day should not only be taken as a function but a reflection if this can be done for friends and for the country if faced with the same challenges as youth today.

The students burned sculptures made by the school art class to exemplify how the Martyrs were burned down before they celebrated a Mass led by Fr Kafeero.

The school head master Mr Wilson Byamukama said marking the day helps students understand real challenges of the world and how they can tackle them with truth without simply thinking everyone who stands on truth is judged fairly by the community and leadership.
