NTUNGAMO: UNKNOWN PEOPLE DIG UP GRAVE, TAKE OFF WITH BODY REMAINS

Residents in Kyabinengo and Butanda Central villages in Butanda parish Ihunga Kajara county Ntungamo district were gripped with shock when a group of unknown people dug up graves and took off with human remains of late Fenekansi Rujumba.
The weird incident happened in the night of last Thursday according to family members. They said that they woke up in the morning only to find the grave open with the shirt on the ground while the whole skeleton of the body and other garments missing.
Edronah Bagitiire aged 60 years a wife to the late Rujumba said that they sensed something strange in the morning after seeing some fresh soils around the grave.
She also said that her husband late Rujumba succumbed injuries he sustained in bicycle accident in 2006 and buried in June 3rd of the same year. “It is shocking to see after 13 years buried to exhume for unknown reasons,” Edronah sobbed.
Speaking to our reporter, a son to the late Abenawe Fred aged 42 said that they suspect someone exhumed the body for ritual related purposes since the death of their father Rujumba was mysterious.
Abenawe also revealed that at least two graves have been dug up and the bodies missing in a space of two-three months leaving locals in worry and wondering about the intentions of the unknown people.
Eldard Atuhaire Mudasora a motorcycle rider one of the residents who helped on reburying of empty grave said that he is shocked and wonders why someone would disrupt the peace of a dead thirteen years later.
