NUP MANIFESTO TO ADDRESS UNEMPLOYMENT THROUGH CREATING 5 MILLION JOBS

The National Unity Platform presidential flag bearer Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu yesterday launched NUP 2021-26 manifesto at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara city ahead of 2021 general elections.
While launching the Manifesto Bobi wine and NUP party officials highlighted a number of issues designated as “Five Fists” tackling democracy, security, job creation ,bettering service delivery among other sectors though the Manifesto won’t be achieved in a short term process
Kyagulanyi stressed that the greatness of any nation doesn’t lie in the beauty of manifesto or how many beautiful policy documents have been written but rather in the commitment of leaders to mean what they say.
NUP Manifesto seeks to address number of issues including security, international relations, bettering the health sector, education, economy, fighting land grabbing among other issues.
Immediately after taking power every Ugandan will experience a meaningful change,” Kyagulanyi stressed.
Other key issues in NUP 2021-26 Manifesto were
The youth to acquire more vocational skills and ICT to eliminate unemployment atleast 5000,000 jobs will be created in the first term of office
It will be treasonous for someone to amend the Constitution
Political terms including that of presidency will be two, 5 years each
Security Officers like police will earn at least shs 1million monthly.
Abuja declaration and Maputo Protocol will be applied, 15 percent of the National budget will be allocated to Health among other issues.
