RUBANDA COUNCILLOR FOR PWDS FOUND DEAD IN HER CHAIR

Police in Rubanda are investigating circumstances surrounding the sudden death of Rubanda district councillor representing PWDs.

Maate identified the deceased as Sikorastika Tushemerirwe, a Councilor for disabled persons and a resident of Mbulameizi cell, Buhumuriro parish, Ruhija Sub County in Rubanda district.

Maate said that the deceased was found dead in her chair on Wednesday morning in her house where she was staying alone.

The Police spokesman added that Police were notified, visited the scene and a post-mortem done to ascertain the cause of her death.

A case of sudden death was then registered at Rubanda Police Station vide CRB 285/2020.
