RUBANDA MAN KILLED BY MOB

Police in Rubanda district is investigating circumstances under which a male adult was Tuesday murdered by a mob.
The deceased has been identified as William Mugisha of Ihunga cell Kasasa Ikumba sub county Rubanda district who was murdered on Tuesday at around 4 pm at his home.

According to the Kigezi region police spokes person Elly Maate, Mugisha had been arrested in December last year together with other four members after they were suspected to have murdered John Byaruhanga; a teacher from the same area and were remanded to Ndorwa
prison until Tuesday 1st August when they were acquitted by court in Kabale after their case lost evidence.
Maate added that when the deceased was seen by the residents back in the village together with Robert Baliseke; a fellow who was also arrested with him, they went on rampage and lynche him while Baliseke was rescued by police’s quick response to the scene.
Maate warned people against taking laws into their own hands and says that inquiries are on going to establish who could have been behind the mob justice
so that they face the law.
