RUBINDI CHRISTIANS BID FAREWELL TO REV .FR. FELIX BIKWATSIZEHI AMIDST TEARS AFTER 20 YEARS

Christians in Rubindi Parish under the archdiocese of Mbarara have hailed the outgoing Parish Priest Rev. Fr.Felix Bikwatsizehi for fostering unity and sanity in the parish.
The Christians were speaking while bidding farewell to Rev.Fr. Bikwatsizehi at Rubindi Parish, Mbarara District on Sunday.
Bikwatsizehi has been the parish priest of Rubindi Parish for 20 years.
Delivering the sermon during the Sunday mass Rev. Fr. Deusdedit Twesigyeomwe noted that Rev.Fr. Bikwatsizehi had brought sanity and development to Rubindi parish during his term of office and thus asked Christians to emulate the characters of the outgoing priest.
Mr. Yaguma Wilberforce Rutashokwa the former Member of Parliament Kashari said Rev.Fr. Bikwatsizehi will be remembered for preaching the word of truth which has created a peaceful, Happy and United Parish.
Loydah Twinomujuni, the Lady Councillor representing Rubaya Sub County thanked Rev.Fr. Bikwatsizehi for fostering education and water projects in the parish including the irrigation scheme he lobbied for through her.
Mr. Didas Tabaro the Mbarara District boss urged priests to embrace income generating projects instead of waiting for Christians’ tithe.
Fr. Bikwatsizehi said he preached about peace, Unity and Love during his term of office. He noted that Christians should learn to coordinate with other religious sects freely.
He applauded the parish Council and the Christians for being supportive during the term of office.
He further implored parents to frontline education of their children and continue supporting Catholic owned schools in the Parish.
Rev.Fr. Bikwatsizehi was transferred of recent to Nyakyera Centre to serve as a Priest in charge.
Rev. Fr. Wycliffe Byamugisha will next Friday be installed as the next Parish Priest of Rubindi Parish.
