The Rukungiri district chair person Mr. Andrewson Katebire has
attributed poor extension of service delivery especially on
agriculture inputs to parish chiefs, sub county chiefs and agriculture extension workers at the sub -county headquarters who fail to conduct their responsibilities.
The Rukungiri district chair person made these remark yesterday
during the workshop for parish chiefs, sub county chiefs
and agriculture extension workers held at the district council hall.
Katebire decried that most of the extension workers are dormant at their
work places whereas some are always drunk and absent from duty.

absent from duty yet at the end of the month you need to
be paid salaries”. He said
The district chair person warned them that as the district leaders
they are working jointly to monitor them and that once one is caught
they will be punished accordingly.

protected at their work places, parish chiefs don’t have offices and they are not facilitated to monitor government programs.
Dan Ndyamureba; the Rukungiri district personnel and Ivan
Tumwebaze the district human resource while facilitating at the workshop asked the participants to always avoid alcoholism and absenteeism on duty.
