RUKUNGIRI MAN HANGS SELF AFTER WIFE LEAVES HIM

Police in Rukungiri are investigating circumstances that forced a 32 year old man to commit suicide.
The deceased’s suicide act came after his wife Penelope Katushabe packed her things alongside their three children to her in-laws’ home.
It is alleged that on 11th Sept.2021, the deceased Luice Beinomugisha a resident of Furuma village Karangaro ward Western division in Rukungiri municipality failed to provide necessities for his family, which forced his wife to pack.
Katushabe shifted to the mother in law’s home at Isheshuro village Kyatooko ward Eastern division in Rukungiri municipality together with their three children Immaculate Katushabe 06 years, Luice Kamugisha 04 years and Savior Gumoshabe aged 04 months.
According to Elly Maate the Kigezi Region police mouth piece, on the 23/09/2021, at around 1700hrs, the deceased disappeared only to be found hanging in a mosquito net rope on 25 September 2021
The area chairperson notified police at Rukungiri CPS who visited the scene, did a postmortem and handed the body over to the relatives for burial.
