RWANDAN NATIONAL FOUND MURDERED IN KABALE

Police in Kabale District are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 35-year-old Rwandan national, Ibrahim Tuyishimire.
His lifeless body was discovered at the Katuna border in Katuna Town Council, Kabale District.
Tuyishimire, a resident of Katuna border in Kabale District, was found dead on August 12, 2023, around 3:50 PM.
The head of Katuna Police post, OC Turyakira Amos, reported that he was informed about the unidentified body through a phone call. The deceased had been discovered within a wooden structure located in the Katuna border cell.
A team of police officers from Katuna promptly responded to the scene. Upon inspection, a document was discovered in the deceased’s pocket, identifying him as Tuyishimire Ibrahim, a Rwandese national.
The scene was documented, and the body was then transported to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital’s mortuary for a postmortem examination.
ASP Elly Maate, the spokesperson for Kigezi Region Police, explained that investigations are still ongoing to determine the cause of Tuyishimire’s death. The case has been officially registered as a murder at Kabale Central Police Station under reference number CRB 622/2023.
The police are actively pursuing leads to shed light on the circumstances that led to this unfortunate incident.
