A tragic road accident which occurred at Kakureiju, a village in Kanungu district, has ended the life of an American citizen who had visited Uganda as a tourist, and left three others critically injured.
The 7:00am Monday crash happened when a Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number UAM 271U, lost control in a sharp corner along a slope.
The vehicle was being driven by 33-year-old Alpha Dadaire, a resident of Wakiso district and had two other occupants; all tourists.
It is reported that the car lost control and failed to brake rolling multiple times, until it eventually crashed ending up under Kyeshero bridge.
40-year-old Harrison Evan Shuldman from New York, died on spot.
Those critically injured are Zachary Avayou, 39, from Pennsylvania, Jeremy Frederick Wright, 25, from California and the driver.
Shuldman’s body was later transported to Bwindi hospital mortuary, as the vehicle was taken to Kihihi police station for inspection as investigations into the cause of the accident.
